Job Opportunities and Working at Deepdale Camping & Rooms

Job Opportunities

Deepdale Camping & Rooms are occasionally looking for additional members of the team to help run the campsite, rooms and visitor information centre.

We've had four excellent years rebuilding the business, and enjoying realising our vision of a great place to stay, to visit and explore all that the North Norfolk Coast has to offer.  Whether it be camping, touring in a campervan, grabbing a bunk in our backpackers hostel, or going up market in a private ensuite room, we aim to offer high quality, eco-friendly, exceptional value accommodation, combined with friendly, welcoming and helpful service.

We are looking for extra members of our crew, people who are passionate about customer service and creating a fantastic place to stay.  There will be the day to day running of the facilities, with many opportunities to develop additional projects within the business including festivals, activities, courses, regular events and bike hire.

At Deepdale we are committed to the Real Living Wage and are accredited by the Living Wage Foundation.Working at Deepdale will be varied, interesting, sometimes challenging, but definitely not boring.  And the North Norfolk Coast is a superb place to work, live and play.  At Deepdale we look for inspiration far beyond the beautiful coastline and countryside on our doorstep, and are looking for crew members who both bring inspiration and ideas with them, but also want to discover more about themselves, the area and the wider world.

At Deepdale we are committed to the Real Living Wage and are accredited by the Living Wage Foundation.

Cleaners and Housekeepers

We are currently looking for additional seasonal members of the team.

Cleaners help keep the showers, toilets & facilities of our campsite in top condition.  We are interested in people keen to join a friendly team, who are happy to work hard maintaining excellent customer facilities.

We are looking for 2 new seasonal staff (part or full time), so if you'd like a Summer working on the North Norfolk Coast then we would love to hear from you.

Staffing is organised by rota, and will include alternate weekends.

To apply please fill out the application form online.  (Please note that this is the only way applications may be submitted)

Tourism Assistants

We aren't currently looking for new members of the team, as the team is full.  We may be interested in additional Summer team members, perhaps students looking for seasonal Summer work..

We believe in a professional, but relaxed, welcoming atmosphere at work. Everyone in the team is responsible for customer service and for the product we supply.

We aren't necessarily looking for applicants who have experience in the tourism industry.  It would be useful for applicants to have specific backpacking and/or camping experience, but this isn't vital.  Good customer service skills are essential.

All our staff are expected to get their hands dirty, both metaphorically and physically, getting involved with all aspects of running the accommodation and other activities.  Staffing is organised by rota including alternate weekends.

Tourism Assistants do a multitude of jobs including reception, housekeeping and helping running events & activities.

To apply please fill out the application form online.  (Please note that this is the only way applications may be submitted)

Evening Assistants

We aren't currently looking for new members of the team, as the team is full.

The key role is to keep the campsite calm in the evenings and to make sure the facilities run smoothly.  You'll also be dealing with late arrivals for both the backpackers hostel and campsite, checking them in and showing them their room or pitch.

Standard hours would be to start at 5pm and work until the customers have returned from the pub and settled, somewhere between 12.30pm and 2am.

This role would suit someone with a more mature and calm outlook on life.  We aren't looking for a strict security style Night Assistant, just someone who is happy chatting with customers, gently asking for noise to be reduced and smoothing the evening running of the site.

Naturally anyone who was offered this role would be given suitable training in the booking system, the systems of the site and the way we like to handle customer service at Deepdale Camping & Rooms.

Seasonal staff will be considered, so if you'd like to mix a Winter of travel or study with a Summer working on the North Norfolk Coast then we would still like to hear from you - Perfect for university or college students.

We feel this role would suit someone who lived no further than 25 miles from Burnham Deepdale, as that person would then know the local area reasonably well.  Unfortunately we can't offer accommodation with this role.
